Discontinuation of http://geosties.com/michaelgerardburke/index.html

I discontinued my old geocities site and am having visitors redirected to my new add free site (which I would now like to submit to the ODP.) In reading the submission guidlines, I noticed that sites that redirect are not allowed, and I previously submitted my geocities site. Will this cause a problem? Please understand that I did not intentionally violate any of the submission guidlines. Thank you.

If the site is already listed then submit an URL Update request to change the URL. If not listed then submit the new URL and mention the Geocities one when you write the description.

The old URL is not listed, but I submitted the new URL before reading your post. I regret failing to mention the Geocities site in the discription as you suggested, is there anything I can do to correct that oversight now?

Your previous submission won't be a problem. The reviewing editor will just change it to the correct URL, and even if there are two identical submissions from that point on, two submissions don't make a spammer. So basically there is nothing you have to / can do.
