Dishonest submission?

Hello everybody,

I have a strictly non-commerical information site that deals with putting out-of-print book publications online regarding certain (family orientated) subject areas. I make no money fom the site excepting a few pence from Google AdWords.
I have a very real interest in the topic and would be interested in becoming an editor for some part of the category.
However, my first application was rejected. I was advised that it was because I had an interest in that part of the directory, and that editors must not. So I submitted a false application under a pretend name.
I now feel very sorry for being dishonest. The editorship is now pending.
Should I cancel my application and re-apply or does it not matter?
I was dishonest with my name and not mentioned that I had a site. Will that mean I will be blacklisted and can never submit again?
I feel very silly and embarrassed.

Are you sure about that reason that your first application was denied? That doesn't sound like a reason that one of us would give for denying an application. Do you have the denial e-mail? What does it say exactly?

How do you know that your current application is still pending? There is no way for you to cancel it unless you tell us the category or editorname you used and we can look it up and reject it.
