Dmoz Australia -Ansearch

Dmoz Australia -Ansearch listing? Are they the same?

Hello Everybody, I submitted my site a few months ago to Dmoz, This morning I checked DMOZ Australia search and I see my site listed , but the search results show in ANSEARCH Australia page. does that mean my site is included in dmoz or its a totally different directory listing ? Thank you for your help in advance.

The only way to tell for certain if your site is listed in the Open Directory Project is to actually look at the appropriate category page in dmoz.org. What you're calling DMOZ Australia is merely a site using our data; they are not officially affiliated with dmoz.org and you'll have to talk to them about their search results.

dmoz.com.au is not related to http://www.dmoz.org it uses our data, but can add more (or less) listings to the underlying data.

I don't know if it is doing a search on the live directory or it's own database, so can't tell if the site is listed in dmoz itself. Try searching for the site url (without the www) mydomaintest.tld using DMOZ itself, and if not found, try again a week later (this allows for the site being listed between search database updates) if it's still not there, it is not listed in DMOZ itself.

The site does currently violate the licence agreement as the add a site and become an editor links do not work correctly, but thats a different issue.
