Willing sponsorized the DMOZ with a banner and link from my website, I put few weeks ago this code I found through the Thumbshots.org :
<a href="http://dmoz.org/" target="_blank"><img src="http://dmoz.org/user-banners/125x125birt.gif" alt="Open Directory Project at dmoz.org" width="125" height="125" border="1"></a>

This code was working fine untill the last few days, the animated banners does not appear anymore, although the link is good.

Does any one know if this 125x125birt is no more existing? It was such a cut crocrodile.

Thank you for your help :cat:

Thank you

Thank you,
I was really wondering for when I went on the DMOZ link for banners and buttons I had a 403 page.
I put a DMOZ thumbnail instead inside my thumbshots code and will add back Birt banner later on, as you can see :

The link of your post goes to "EFF search" Electronic Frontier Foundation, is that wat you want.

They moved the page I was trying to link to in my signature. I'll see if I can find the correct page. If I do, all my .signatures will magically change to it.

FYI, there are a large number of pages that are 403'ing on the DMOZ website.

It's an intermittent problem that is still being looked into.

The banner into my web directory

:cat: Well, am I allowed to put the banner (if I get it) into my web directory to display it on one of my web page and apply a link from it to DMOZ?
Another question : I wish to include the DMOZ link inside the Thumbshots code for a free thumbnail of my site, as the thumbshots.org propose it, they say we do not have to be inside the DMOZ directory to get a thumbnail if we do so.
Is it true? This is what I did but it does'nt work.

Yes, you can put the banner on your site and link it to the ODP.

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking. Any questions you have about thumbshots should be directed to Thumbshots.org -- we have nothing to do with them. The thumbshot of dmoz.org appears to be linking just fine on your site -- were you trying to do something else?

Thank you, as you say I should see with the thumbshots.org why this code doesn't give the expected result into search engine as Netscape France :cat:

Hello, I am not working for ODP, I am just a user. You sould ask to ODP.
Your gif is not a thumbnail, a thumbnail is a small picture of a index.htm's site that appears beside the URL in a Search Engine that offers this function :cat:

Dear Editors,

Do you need new banners for ODP? If yes - how can I submit them?

All the best,
Vitaly.
