where it should have been suggested in the first place. ;)

Thank you for your reply, but I couldn't disagree more with where http://www.soldbysanta.com should have been suggested. My understanding of ODP's purpose is not to tell someone were an office is located, but what the website is about. As a result, I believe it should be moved to http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_Amer...lphia_Metro/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/ as bekahm referenced, earlier. The sites previously listed in the deleted category which I suggested now appear here & this category most accurately describes my real estate website.

Kind regards.

In Regional, and especially for Real Estate, sites are listed according to one thing - the location of their office. If the coverage area is for a whole county or metro area, for example, then that can be stated in the description (at the editor's discretion) but in terms of which category it gets listed in, the guidelines are very very strict.

For further reading - our editing guidelines for Real Estate sites are public and are available here http://dmoz.org/guidelines/regional/realestate.html#where

Hope this helps.

Thanks

I suppose part of my confusion over this stems from the fact that I did not seek to submit to Regional, but Business. However, upon drilling down within Business to the "appropriate" category, the system switched it over to Regional at some level. So, being a first-time submitter to ODP, I neither realized, nor anticipated to be drilling in Business and end up in Regional. So, with that being said, I appreciate the responses and I'll just let the editor do whatever (s)he finds appropriate when time permits.

Thanks, again...Robert

It was decided quite a while ago that essentially, all sellers of Real Estate are by their nature Regional, and so only listed in that part of the directory, and not the business part.

What are the three most important things in real estate?

Location, Location, Location.
