DMOZ listing

Hi,
I submitted my URL to DMOZ anout 2-3 weeks ago. Nothing is listed yet, which I get - but does DMOZ notify of a failed listing or do you just have to wait and see?

Can you resubmit if you are not sure or is that a dicey thing to do.

I agreed...After reviewing the FAQ's and guidelines...In my view it is fulfilling all the needs of approving...But still I don't know why it is in waiting status....

ODP is a volunteer organisation and editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no system to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them.

Some volunteer will volunteer to process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. Please be patient.

But still I don't know why it is in waiting status.

If you had read the FAQ to which I gave you the specific link, you would not have had to ask again, and the ever-patient jimnoble would not have had to spend time answering.
