The final screen of the transaction thanked you for your listing suggestion. There's no need for a further email so we don't send one.

Really Frustrated!

I applied for listing in April. There were two editors listed. One was not active, the other was active. I just logged in and read that the editor that was active is now not active and involved in other activities with DMOZ! So, there is NO EDITOR for our category Home Improvement. Now what do we do?? Sit and wait or do I have to sign up and be editor myself??? I will do that if I qualify!

Sorry, you can't. See our FAQ Why can't we ask about the status of our site suggestions anymore?
Will it be going to list or not?
We will only know after it is reviewed.
But you can know it yourself by looking at our guidelines.
See: How to suggest a site to the Open Directory , step 1 Determine whether a site is appropriate for submission to the ODP:
and Open Directory Editing Guidelines Site Selection Criteria

I agreed...After reviewing the FAQ's and guidelines...In my view it is fulfilling all the needs of approving...But still I don't know why it is in waiting status....

Probably because nobody has volunteered to process it yet.

ODP is a volunteer organisation and editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no system to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them.

Some volunteer will volunteer to process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. Please be patient.

Generally (99% of the time), nobody else knows why, either. And how could they?

When an editor actually does something, he knows why he did it. But who can know why someone else didn't do something (yet)?

We don't know when your website will be listed or even if it will be. I realise that you think it's important but there are millions of websites out there.

Broadcasting messages to all moderators demanding instant attention isn't going to get you a different answer. Don't do that again.

The same answers that have been given in this thread apply to you, and I'm afraid we don't discuss individual websites here.
