Turkey (Türkçe) categories have many of low profile web sites.. (new and undersized sites, empty sites, landfill sites..)
And Our high-quality sites is deprecated.

I'm angry to this situation.

Sample :
I have <URL removed> i suggest this url for two years ago. And this site didnt approved for two years ago.
I suggest 3 times in two years. I reviewed what I wrote. I suggest another category, I think think...
But deprecated..

Why?

I want to answer: Because we have quality web sites
But we dont have a close friend of the editor.
We don't have close friend, close friend of the editor.
We do not recognize any editor.

And we suggest our web site link, wait 2 years.. TWO YEARS WAIT.

Why is this happening? There are many complaints.

Why do you not effort to improve quality?

Do not approve for new editor. Do not approve quality links. And we are asking, What will we do?

Please DO NOT ROBOTIC answer this message. Because Im human and I wrote this message about 15 minutes. Please Respect.

I'm disappointed that you don't seem to have read any other threads here which explain the volunteer nature of this project.

Please DO NOT ROBOTIC answer this message.
Yes, we have standard replies for posts such as yours but it seems that you want me to spend 15 minutes composing a special reply for you instead of a few seconds posting a standard one.

Guess what. I don't volunteer to do that.

does Voluntary mean poor quality?
Your Voluntary only for your friends?
What is the open directory project which is open?

I say : I want to be the editor. This is rejected.
I suggest a quality site. This is rejected.

I search dmoz turkey found poor quality sites too times.

And i say: What's going on the management of Turkey.

And you say VOLUNTARY.

This is Open project but closed for me.

I do not believe this is really an open project.

We are constantly checking the quality of listed sites, but as you sure understand there will always be some of the millions of listed sites that doesn not meet our quality standards, we try to correct that as soon as we discover it. If you suspect that an editor is favorizing his own or some related persons sites, we are happy to recieve reports of that, including some evidence to support your claims.

The "open" in Open Directory Project means that the data is free for everyone to use, in accordance with our license, nothing less, nothing more (http://www.dmoz.org/socialcontract.html). It is not open for everyone to join (though in theory it is open for everyone that is able to understand and act according to the Guidelines). Everyone may suggest a site, but only editors can list sites.

Suggesting a site several times is aginst the rules. We do not make any promises to list a suggested site within a certain timeframe, waiting times of 2+ years is quite common. Many editors prefer to look for sites elsewhere than in the pool of publicly suggetsed sites.

Thanks dear sir informator.
And thanks again for you do not wrote "volunteer".

There are big problems for everyone. And for you, for me, for editors.. Anyone interested in problems of its own. This is true and have no complaints. I have you busy for my problem. I think waiting 2+ years is A large part of the life of a human.

I wanted to help. did not happen. Perhaps editor could be. did not happen. And I want help, didnt happen too.. I dont know, Where is the door on Dmoz? I think i should wait more years..

In fact, none of them does not matter. I wrote for; Why could it not be better? I think this is not I can achieve that. The world a very small sometimes, sometimes very large. I wrote a complaint; The world was tiny. And i could'nt do anything. The world became enormous.

I'm sorry for my english, And i don't want busy you. Especially when there are these things made voluntarily.
Volunteering is a very valuable concept. I think there are wrong understanding. Volunteering is good and special. Bad is the ambition of the some people. I wanted to clarify Dmoz. And now many things become clear.

I don't get benefits. But thanks for your volunteers. There are 5,018,891 happy web admins, An unhappy man ever doesnt matter.

Thanks 95,016 volunteer editors.
