DMOZ Multiple Submission Policy

Hey all,

I have a site which is awaiting review under my niche category.

If I submit again to my regional category, will that affect my 14 month old submission in my niche category?

For instance, I am under review (an old one) in /Recreation/Motorcycles/Scooters, would that submission be penalized by another submission in /Regional/North_America/United_States/Virginia/Business_and_Economy/Automotive/

No it will not affect your existing suggestion.

Topical and Regional listings are considered independantly of each other.

If the site matches the parameters for both the Topical and Regional categories the site may end up listed in both.

However, the Regional listing will be predicated on your actual business location, not on service area, so you should consider the Locality rather than the State level. If the automotive sub category does not exist, submit to Business_and_Economy, if B&E does not exist, submit to the Locality category.

To be listed at State level, you would need to have multiple locations across the state.
