While surfing the web, we found some interesting data regarding dmoz.org which we would like to share with everyone.

The above wikipedia link states the following i.e.
5,199,707 sites - 71,053 editors - over 590,000 categories as on 07.01.2006
As on date, the same statistics have obviously been changed on dmoz.org which are again stated as below i.e.
5,193,705 sites - 98,271 editors - over 1,017,960 categories as on 04.05.2013
It means the following increase / decrease in the aforesaid figures during last seven years and four months approx i.e.
-6,002 sites, +27,218 editors, +427,960 categories
The same data clearly verifies forum administrators' & moderators' claim that editors are more engaged in building new categories than as compared to addition of suggested websites.
