dmoz search engine - does it work?

Hi

Is there a problem with the dmoz search engine? My "Ramblerstick" site has been listed in Shopping: Recreation: Outdoors: Hiking Sticks for a little while now, but searching for "Ramblerstick" returns no results; nor are any other hits received for any other term in the site description. Other sites listed in the same category are found by the search engine.

I did look at the FAQ before posting. My problem is not with searching the site itself, merely a simple search for any terms in the odp directory entry for the site.

Searching for the listed title in the odp directory or using the site domain without "www", as suggested in the FAQ, returns no results.

Perhaps the entry still has not been added to the search engine database. I wonder how long it normally takes to update the database?

Your link clears up the mystery nicely - there is an undocumented feature in the search engine.

It may not return any results but at least it's quick.
