As a user (not as an editor because we're not supposed to consider minor irritations like this when listing a site), I think you should kill that pop-up that comes up each and every time I go to your main page. At least use some kind of cookie so each user only sees it once. Believe me, it would seriously reduce my desire to browse your site to get that thing in my face every time I clicked the back button.
