Do affiliate ads hurt me if trying to get listed

I have an ecommerce site has some affiliate ads on each of the catalog pages, I am looking to get listed on the DMOZ. Is it possible with the ads? Will the DMOZ accept me with them?

Same with google adsense or????

It all depends on the amount of real content.
We block out all affiliatelinks and look at what remains on the site. Is it enough unique content? Yes, the site will be listed (if it doesn't violate any other of our rules).

We don't care what kind of ads -- affiliate links, banners, adsense, etc., all count as noise.

Can a site be heard through noise?

It depends on how loud and clear its other message is.
