Hi all,

I submitted my newest site for about 7 weeks ago and I do know that it can take months to get listed but I just want to know if it violates any ODP rules.

I have read about that affiliate sites will not be listed but my site does have a affiliate link on it but it is not just made around the affiliate program.

The site I am talking about is here and the page where I have the affiliate link is here

Am I violating any rules by doing this??

Thanks,

Having one affiliate link to a book isn't a violation!

Our affiliate rules are directed at people submitting sites that are just collections of affiliate links - and that do not contain any / or sufficient unique content that would benefit our users.

Your site would be judged on whether it has sufficient quality information to make it useful to web users.

Guidelines are here: http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html

Cool site, btw. I'm no editor, but I doubt you have anything to worry about. You provide quite a bit of content, and it looks pretty unique to me! :)

Thanks for that nareau,

I hope that the editor that reviews it agrees with you on that. :D

You're the site owner, you know whether or not the content is unique. Luckily many of the other sites that run the same articles have credited them to you, so hopefully the reviewing editor will be clear on the source. :)

It may be unique to me but others may have other oppinions.

I hope all of them credit them to me because I wrote them.

Thanks,
