I'm guessing the answer is no but I want to make sure. Even so, I have no idea how I got on all these search engines.

I went to the DMOZ site to search for my site but it did not come up. Then it redirected me to a page with several search engines listed, google, yahoo, altavista, hot, bot, lycos, etc.... I think there were 12 total. Anyways, on 7 out of the 12 listed my website apears but only when I type the name of my website into the search terms. Does this mean DMOZ has accepted my website??? Sorry, to ask such a silly question but I can't seem to figure it out. I just submitted to DMOZ about 3-4 weeks ago and I have not submitted my site to any of those search engines, except for yahoo and google, both of which I appear. THANKS!!! AND GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

I had no idea how challenging it can be to promote a website, unless you have tons of money to do so, which I don't.

Hi,
Your site is in dmoz odp if you can find your site in the category you're suggesting it into.
Alternatively, there is a search box in dmoz.org you can try to search for your own site there, but afaik, the database where the search is searching is not updated very frequently.

Well, you might find it in some other category. But simon is right that the primary evidence is looking at the page at dmoz.org, and anything else is not reliable.
