Does url change takes as long as submitting again?

Hello , I was wondering does a url change takes as long as submitting a site. I know submitting a new site takes 3-6months. Just wondering if it takes just as long. I submitted a change of url to Top: Arts: Celebrities: P: Pitt, Michael category for http://www.bsmikedpage.com which is now http://www.bsmikedpage.net. The old link before been dead since May and I don't know if it will be deleted soon by the bot I heard before it gets changed.

Also, I have another question..can an ez message board for this actor be added to the dmoz list in the same category?

In general: Yes. Its handled the same way. Update requests are marked as such in a clearly visible way. In the categories I edit in, I often work on Updates before I start working the normal edits. So it might be faster.

If it does not belong to a site already listed: Yes. If it belongs to a site, that is listed (i.e. yours I guess): No. Make it easily accessible from your main page, then users won't have any problem. Of course it can be mentioned in the description of the page, if it is worthy.

Site reviews and updates often take 3 to 6 months, but some get processed much quicker, e.g. same day, some unfortunately take longer. In one category I (jointly) edit in, of over three and a half thousand listed sites, the unreviewed queue never gets longer than about six sites. There are other categories where the unreviewed queue is twice as big as the number of listed sites. So it does depend very much on how many editors are interested in editing in that area, which is itself related to how spam-prone the area is or how much of a niche area it is.

Thanks for the response John. I was just thinking I have a feeling :) there are no other sites in that category waiting for reviews because I know there is a small crop of sites for that actor. So would it still takes 3-6months if i'm the only one? Or until an editor is interested in updating it?

Or until an editor is interested in updating it?

That is the point. If noone is interested in working inthat area, nothing will be done. If there is an interested editor, he might list hundred unreviewed entries on one weekend.

The URL has been changed, and it's visible on the EDITOR's machine on the public page (which shall soon be public only to editors, but anyway). It shall appear "soon" (at a time not under our control or with our knowledge, but certainly not related to size of unreviewed queues) on the public page.
