domain change request

Hi,

My client has a site listed in ODP under a sub-domain http://www.bbcanada.com/nelsonhousebnb and has recently launched under his own new domain www.downtownbedandbreakfast.com

I spoke with him about updating his url, title and possibly description and wondered what would be our best route to take.

First off, he is listed under this category:
Regional: North America: Canada: British Columbia: Localities: V: Vancouver: Society and Culture: Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual

but I feel it should be listed under a lodging category since it is a gay and lesbian bed and breakfast in Canada and this obviously seems more appropriate.

Society: Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual: Travel: Lodging: North America: Canada

This category as far as I can tell, is as deep as it can go so its important to identify that this accommodation is in Vancouver, BC - when I update the URL, would it be within reason to request that his title or description include Vancouver since that category contains other listings that show their locations.

If the site meets the criteria for the Society cat you mention, it can have a listing in both categories. Sites may have a listing in a topical branch as well as in the Regional branch if it meets the criteria for both.

The mechanics of updating the url in the cat it's in now: use the Update URL link at the upper right corner in the category.


The description in the Regional branch does not repeat the geographical reference in the description, but the description in the topical category may contain the geographical information if it meets the specific category criteria.

it would be best if the 'old url' redirects or at least mentions the new url.

The B&amp;B is now listed in Society:GLB:Travel:Lodging:Canada and updated in the Vancouver GLB category . The changes and addition may take a while to update to the public page.
