Doorway Pages

Does a policy exist regarding doorway pages? In the specific instances in which I am inquiring, one particular company has more than one site listed and also uses doorway pages for all major cities in the U.S.. The sites have different names and slightly different (but essentially the same) content. Is this permitted?

Deeplinks are allowed in "exceptional" circumstances. But the site might have ceased to be exceptional. Give us a few examples, and we'll check them out.

I think hutcheson may have misread the above Nevertheless he is right about deeplinks.

Doorways are normally not permitted in the ODP except for some very rare circumstances (redirectors to IP addresses with frequently changing IPs - servers on a dialup connection - would be one).

Windharp - Where do i report doorway pages that are listed (I assume you'd like to know and clean them out)? It's a "competitor" of mine, but I'd be happy to provide you with their real site that seems not to be listed anywhere. (In the interests of making DMOZ accurate )
