edit the submission, or resubmit?

I submitted a site some time ago when I still had it 'parked' at my ISP. At the time, I had clients and friends using a 'shorturl' address to keep the confusion of a long address to a minimum.

Since the original was more than likely rejected because of the redirecting shorturl (I'm just guessing here ...) would it be better to submit my new domain (http://murphyanderson.net) or try and figure out how to modify what I sent in earlier.

any help or pointers to the correct forum for this discussion appreciated.

I can't see any sign that the old one has been received but have prevented it being listed even if it is waiting elsewhere. Go ahead and submit the new one. To one category only and make sure it is the best possible fit you can find. Thanks.

A very important point, since I just listed some web designers that had been sitting in that general area for a long time. If they had submiited to the right category, they would have been listed within a week.

A site that does web design and also happens to do some printed graphics work, will in most cases be considered a web designer.

Thanks for the help

and yes, I understand the guidelines and the reasoning for only submitting to one categoy - - but if revenues are equally divided between hours spent designing for the web and designing for publications, there really are freelancers and others that could easily be indexed in both categories. Some years I make more with annual reports, book covers and catalogs ... but my web presence/marketing efforts focus on abilities in this arena. Submitting to the web design category makes the most sense.

It's a tough call, though.

But that sounds like an opening salvo in one of those discussions about a topic that has already, long ago, been decided. So as Emily Litella would say, "nevermind."

thanks again ...

indexed in both categories
I think you are misreading the category description. "Graphic Design" is not just for print designers, it is the catchall category for all graphic designers.

There are not enough purely print designers to merit their own category, so they go there as well. The reason the submission guidelines point to separate categories if you deal "primarily" with web design, multimedia, or illustration, is that web sites listed under "Graphic Design" can included all these things, if the firm or freelancer in multi-disciplined.

They are linked as related categories to each other. So, if the surfer does not find what he/she is looking for in one area, the others are easy to find. I hope that cleared up the confusion.
