(Editor Name: NuHomes) My editorial privledges were unfortunately cancelled due to inactivity. Immediately after attempting to log in amd realizing my status, I formally requested reinstatement by completing the required form provided on the site. I also provided a detailed, albeit a rather lenghthy explanation regarding the reason (which I sincerely hope was understandable) for my period of inactivity. After clicking the radio button to submit my request, it appeared the form did not go through. I once again tried to submit the form and again it appeared to me it was not sent.

Concerned about whether or not the form was received, I tried to send it to the staff e-mail address but my mail which was apparently sent to an AOL address was returned as undeliverable. Quite a bit of time has expired since I initially sent the reinstatement form, and since I have yet to receive a response, my level of concern over whether either of my requests were ever received has naturally heightened.

The personal value and satisfaction I placed on my editorial privledges is quite high and I most certainly do not wish to permanently lose them. The reason for my inactivity has since been resolved and I stand ready, willing, and able to continue my editorial responsibilities if I am reinstated. Unfortunately, I do not know who to contact to verify my request(s) were indeed received by the person or persons responsible for making a decision as to my reinstatement. While I do not wish to burden or "push" someone who is likely already overburdened, at the same time my level of concern has heightened to the point where, at the very least, I need to verify my request(s) were in fact received.

If there are any editors on this forum that have read my post, or if one of the moderators of this forum would be kind enough to give me some direction with respect to my situation, it would be most sincerely appreciated.

I am sorry to say, but you are right. There is no pending request for reinstatement for the given editor account. Since there are other requests as recent as yesterday, the system seems to be working. I suggest you try it again, make sure you use the reinstatement form on dmoz.org, not on any other site.

A kind "Thank You" for your help. I reposted my request for reinstatement and I do hope it went through this time around. However, I still have not received a reply and I am anxious to "get back in the trenches". Do you have any idea how long a request of this nature normally takes? It has been quite some time since my request.

Your reinstatement request of 2010-08-21 is awaiting evaluation but we can't predict when that will be. We're in the midst of DMOZ 2.0 rollout ATM so it could be a while.
