I know it hasn't been 2 weeks yet,
It seems you read "Forum Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING"

Wait a minimum of 14 days after the day that you submitted your latest application to start a thread here asking about its status.

Hello,

It's now been over 2 weeks, so I’m curious to the status of my application.

Sorry that I posted here before the 2 weeks, but my main concern was whether or not my application was received.

Hello all you lovely people at Dmoz ;)

I’m curious to know if my application has been rejected, as it’s been 6 weeks since I applied.

If I’m still awaiting evaluation, then how long does it usually take before I’m accepted?

Karen :p

Still awaiting evaluation. Elapsed times depend upon the availability of volunteer meta editors and can't be predicted.

Hello, I’m curious to know if there’s been any update over the last month. I know you guys are busy trying to catch up so I’m sorry if I sound impatient.

Not that I’m expecting a rejection, but should I get an email if it is?

Hello Guys,

After waiting for 3 months, my application was refused :(

I've literally spent hours reading the t & c's here, but it was still rejected.

It's ok that I was rejected, a little upset, but mainly disappointed. Someone should have given me an exact reason, rather than given me an automated response (it’s just a little bit rude).

I don't think I will apply again, but I do think DMOZ needs to work on a way to approve quality editors.

automated response
It wasn't an automated response. The evaluating meta editor chose to send that particular standardised message because it covered the situation.

I can assure you that we evaluate applications pretty rigorously and we are happy to accept editors who:

- Are good communicators in the language of the category requested (including reading and writing).
- Show an understanding of the category requested.
- Show attention to detail.
- Demonstrate their integrity.

I doubt if anybody would have it otherwise.
