Domain Mapping

I use typepad.com for my web site, with their domain mapping enabled. The typepad URL is http://tcattorney.typepad.com . I have it mapped to http://www.traverselegal.com . I submitted the latter URL to my regional category Society: Law: Services: Lawyers and Law Firms: General Practice: North America: United States: Michigan.

I know re-directing is prohibited. Am I correct that domain mapping is not a problem. Any insights appreciated.....

Thanks

OK, on that website it is indubitably evident, but not obvious, that the typepad.com URL is the canonical one. If nobody submits the other URL, then at worst, if the editor notices (by no means a foregone conclusion, since the page doesn't do any kind of off-DNS redirection), then there wouldn't be a problem or a penalty, we'd just list the canonical URL.

Domain Mapping / Submit Suggestions

Yikes. I submitted the mapped domain. Should I resubmit the typepad.com URL or just wait to see if the editor catches it? Advice appreciated.

Blogging software and services like typepad are becoming so huge; I have to believe this issue will come up again. Most of my blogosphere buds do domain mapping as well.

Thanks for the quick response....

Not to worry. Most likely we'll list it under either the canonical URL or the other one. The next most likely eventuality (and it is not at all likely!) would be to delete the suggestion by mistake. (it happens....editors are human!) All other possibilities are in my experience even less likely.

By the way, please do suggest the site also to the Business&Economy subcategory of the locality where the offices are located.
