For the past two days, I have received an error message while trying to submit my website (http://www.nursing-home-abuse-neglect-law-information.com) to http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Law/Legal_Information/Elder_Law/Abuse_and_Neglect/ . I have filled out all fields, yet I keep getting this error message:

Form Incomplete
Please fill out the URL and title fields of the form.
Please go back in your browser if you need to resubmit the form.

I have tried going back and filling in the form again (including, of course, the URL and title fields), but I keep getting the same message. Is this a problem just with the category, or am I missing something?

Thanks!

I just tried submitting to that category myself and it worked fine for me. Can you tell us exactly what you used for the URL and title fields? That might help us figure out why it's happening to you.

try turning off your firewall and virus protection when you submit. Sounds mad, but it might just work. did for me.

You did remember to put the 'http' bit in your URL, didn't you? Sounds stupid but you'd be amazed how many people forget.

I think the software recently changed to add that automatically. (Now I wish it would also remove it if you accidentally put it in twice.)

Just tried again and got the same error message. Here is the exact information I entered, copied and pasted from the submission form:

URL: http://www.nursing-home-abuse-neglect-law-information.com

Title: Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect News

Description: Consumer advocacy group offers nursing home comparison tool and information on what to do if you suspect your loved one is being abused or neglected at a nursing home.

The site that keeps giving me the error message is http://editors.dmoz.org/cgi-bin/add2.cgi.

In regards to advice from sarahk, I don't have any virus protection software to turn off, and I'm not sure about a firewall - how would I go about turning that off just for the submission?

Hope we can figure this one out!
