I don't edit in that part of the directory, and I did not look at the submission pool for that category, however, I did look at the category description:

Contains sites which offer information on family reunions.

And I did peek at your website and quickly compared it to the sites that are listed, and came to the personal conclusion that your site has been seriously missubmitted.

I also looked at the site notes and see that it has been declined a listing in that category at least once in the past (I could not check to see if that was the current submission or a previous submission).

Some free advice: Your core business is event planning. Find the best categories for event planners (not for the individual market segments you target) and you may have a higher degree of success.

Been awhile. I read in the forums that editors can move the submissions. Why didn't the editor just move this to the correct category? I resubmitted to the right category (I think) and I am NOT asking for an update (I checked my logs and an editor has not looked at it yet), just wondering?

Eventrez.com should NOT be listed in the reunions directory. I had taken the previous posters advice and resubmitted to a new category that had a better fit, Event Planning. Can somebody make sure that Eventrez.com is not going to Reunions. It will probably just be rejected again.

There is a deeplink of your url waiting in the reunions category. If it's not appropriate there, the reviewing editor should move it to a better category.

I was told the site was rejected in that category? I submitted it to the category listed above as suggested. So what you are saying is that the new submission is no longer there, and the old submission is still a valid one in Reunions? I guess I got some bad information! Should I just wait it out? If that submission is still out there, it is at least 5-6 months old.

Actually, no, you were not told that. You were told (by someone who told you he can't edit that category) that it really didn't belong there but no one told you that it had been rejected.

Now, if you want a status check on your resubmission to a more appropriate category, you need to follow the forum guidelines and (a) wait for at least a month after you last submitted the site and (b) give us a clickable link to the category that submitted it to.

This sounded like a rejection to me:

Then (2) two editors told me to rethink my category. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out I may have made a mistake when I submitted the site.

I resubmitted on the date of this thread: 08-26-2004, the previous attempt was around March or April:

I never did get an answer on this site... I am really confused (obviously, hehe). Is there an editor out there that could tell me if there is a pending request, where it was posted to (I did a few), and if any of the requests were declined? I would really appreciate it if anyone can give me an update. My first submission was in early September (I think, been so long).

Yes, you did get an answer; you just didn't like it. The site was in waiting for review in the first category to which it was submitted.

Now it is also waiting for review in the second category you tried.

If the site is still not listed 6 months from now, you may ask about it again in this thread.
