Failure in processing my form

I'm trying (for different days) fill the editor application form, but I'm having the following error.

There has been a failure in processing your form. We will work on it, we hope to have it up soon. There We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Could some one help me find why this error?

I'm just making an educated guess, here, so hold off final judgment until someone better-informed than I posts. This is probably caused by the server-upgrade which is taking place and causing errors doing many different DMoz-related things.

I'd personally give it a day or two, and see if it's back up. If not, well, be patient; ODP staff has a lot to do at the moment, and it'll be addressed eventually.

Of course, there's always the possibility that I'm wrong and it's something else, but that seems the most likely cause.

I just submitted a testapplication and it did not work, too. I'll hand it on to the technical staff.

Staff thinks it is because of server load and will be better once the servers are upgraded. Sorry to say, but we have no timeframe for this yet.

Well we do, but it's not very well defined. We know that the upgrades will not happen in the next 3 weeks, and we know that they should happen before 4 months is up. However software changes are being made at the same time, and that might take longer than expected. We'll have to test it extensively as well and that might reveal further problems, which will take more time to fix.
