There is a site listed at http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_Amer...H/Henderson/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/ With the title "Larry Green and Mike Blanchard - Century 21 Moneyworld"

This site is advertising false affiliation with Century 21 in the title of DMOZ and on the website. If you visit the site and call the number provided on the home page they will tell you they are not affiliated with CENTURY 21.

Please Remove this site from your directory as this a violation of trademark and advertising laws.

DMOZ only describes what is listed on the website.
If the information is like to write a violation of trademark and advertising laws you will have to contact the owners of the site to get it removed. Only after it is removed we will change the description.
We can not change a description or delete a site just because someone makes a claim like you did. How are we to know if your claim is the truth. We can't.

The title is appropriate considering that is what they have on their website.

Trademark violations are between the trademark holder and those claiming the affiliation/use of trademark and should be directed to they and/or their lawyers.

If they change their site, they can submit and update request to change the title.

What about dmoz standards? Your going claim all this high and mighty crap and then defend a site that is advertising phone numbers that are either out of service or that lead to a compnay the dont work for?

So if i submited a real estate site with phone numbers that led to adult scam lines would that be okay?

Well i will be pasing this on to folks at the corporate headquarted in NJ. They take the misuse and abuse of their Brand very seriously.

vegas-kid, you seem to think you have an issue with the content of the ODP. Your issue is misplaced, the ODP accurately reflects the only thing it ought to reflect, the content of the website. We will neither defend nor attack the content of the website. The former is the job of the site owner, the latter is your self-appointed task.

First, contact the webmaster and/or ISP of the website itself, to address the real source of the alleged inaccuracy. Either you'll find that your information is wrong, and you'll have not hassled ODP editors unnecessarily -- or the website will be fixed -- and we can address whatever is left of your concern by our normal process of reviewing websites.

When you all get it worked out, please let us know how it came out, so that we can maintain our standard of accurately reflecting the content of the website. But it's not honest, it is not right, it is not allowed, to to drag volunteer editors into your trademark (or any kind of legal) squabble. Settle it for yourselves: there are courts who will help, if you all have trouble settling it among yourselves.
