fatcat: Help requested from metaeditor

Hi,
I applied for the category Recreation/Boating/Sailing/Associations/One Design Associations/Dinghies, back in August.

I received the confirmation email from daemon@dmoz.org">daemon@dmoz.org</a> advising my application has been received.

I did not hear anything after that but did notice a profile was set up for me and I saw my name against this category.

However I have been unable to activate my account and it has probably timed-out.

I have sent a number of emails to dmoz staff feedback, without response (everyone must be very busy).

I am still very happy to edit this category. Would it be possible for someone to look at my application and account?

Your account did indeed expire. Fill out the Reinstatement Form, and we'll get you going again.

I had tried that before but the form would not recognise my e-mail address. (It was happy with my password)
A guess is that the database has an incorrect e-mail against me. This might explain why I did not get an acceptance mail.
I tried the forgotten password form also, just to see if I receive a mail and although it advises one has been sent, I do not receive it.
Just reinterating, I only received the first mail advising of receipt of my application. There has been no other notifications since then.
I think I need some manual intervention to check/reset my e-mail address? What do you think? I guess this is to prove my keeness out.

If I rightly recollect (my own application as editor was too long ago) the mail sent on receipt on your application contains instructions to do something to confirm your e-mail address. DId you follow these instructions?

Most problems are self creating!
In my case I had changed my e-mail address while my application was being reviewed. Hence I did not receive my notification.
With some kind and efficient research and assistance by windharp and apeuro, I am now an editor!
