Please could you advise me of the easiest way to search for your own site on DMOZ. I am not yet listed, but I have noticed that if I search for a site by its URL it doesnt show up as listed even if its one that I know is listed.
Best regards
Peter

search for the bare domain name -- that is, rather than searching for "http://mysubdomain.www.mydomain.com/destraught.asp", just search for "mydomain".

But remember that everything in the site submittal form is just a suggestion, and the ODP editor may choose an alternate URL as well as a different title or rewritten description. And since people often have several domains, or suggest domains which are apparently doorways to OTHER domains (whether theirs or someone else's), the final direct result of a suggestion might well be the addition of some unsuggested site.

This is more generally true -- I've seen cases where I rejected a very inadequate suggestion to a category, but the suggestion got me to thinking, "I'm sure there are better sites for that category." So I went and found some OTHER sites to list.

I thought searching for "mydomain.com" (with no additions) was more reliable. Am I mistaken?

Either way will work. With just mydomain, you'd return mydomain.com, mydomain.net, mydomain-somethingelse.com, etc. With mydomain.com, you'd narrow the possible choices. Not a huge problem for most people.
