Flaw In The Guidelines' Logic

We have a site that sells similar products as our competitors listed in the directory. Is this considered similar content? If so, the guidelines seems flawed because we clearly have a better business model and have better value. We ship 2 days faster than most competitors listed. We have better customer satisfaction ratings. Our site usability is better etc.

There are no editors assigned to the category. I can't help but think that unless someone spends alot of time researching these details about a site, that dying business models will be listed over the new more competitive ones if this guideline is taken too strictly.

You presumably have a different address, different product range and different prices. That makes you unique :).
