Why would you equate removal of links with addition of links? The two require totally different skills. It is easy enough for any editor to verify that a link doesn't work and remove it. It is far harder and more time consuming for an editor to review new submissions for a category, especially one as spam-prone as Gambling.

Fairness has nothing to do with it. Many editors are interested in maintaining directory quality, but apparently few (none, ATM) are interested in increasing the size of the Gambling category. This may not be the answer you are hoping for, but its really no more complicated than that. :)

We thank you for helping us in our quality control efforts, areas such as Gambling can see quick changes in working links and quality. It is always helpful when someone reports here or via the Update Link feature on the category when a site has gone dead or is no longer listable. That being said, nothing done or posted as a result of these forums will affect a review of a public submission.
