Hi. I have a site currently listed on dmoz but I can't get access to make necessary changes. Problem is it's been several years since i last logged in and I haven't a clue what my username and password is. There are only a few I would have used but none of them seem to work. Is there a way I can get this reset? I am prepared to provide proof of ownership of the domain in question in whatever way necessary, maybe include a verification meta tag to my homepage? Whatever it takes, just please someone help. Thank you in advance.

Whilst we usually welcome returning ex editors, we are insistent that they come back under their original identities. That you've forgotten some of your login details or you no longer have access to your original email account are merely stumbling blocks, not show stoppers.

Please contact me via http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/send.cgi?toeditor=elper with as much corroborative information as you can such as:-

Approximate date joined

Editor name (but not password)

Real name

Original email address

Joining category

Additional categories gained

Roughly how many edits done

Approximate date of leaving and the circumstances

Convince me that you are who you say you are and I can reset your email address of record to one that works today. This will make it possible for you to request a password reminder and complete a reinstatement request form.

Only editors can login.
If something in the listinf of your website needs changing just go to the category in whicj the websote is listed an click the "update listing" link. Tell is what needs changing and why. An editor will look at the request, cjeck the website and he will decide if the change is appropriate.

Sorry for any confusion, my reply above assumed that you were previously an editor and wished to edit more than your own site... if you only want to update a listing, please follow pvgool's advice, no login is required.

My bad, pvgool was indeed right and I'm gonna have to learn to look beyond the end of my nose in future. Thanks pvgool
