why does forum sig are not allowed on this forum?

Because we turned it off People wanted to use their sig for reason that were inconsistant with our reasons for having this forum, so we decided that it was best to turn it off for non-editors.

Folks using links in highly indexed forums in order to boost search engine position is pretty common these days.
