Two quick (newbie) questions about listing: After you submit a URL, you should (at a later date) receive an e-mail from an editor, right? Meaning if you don't receive an E-mail after some goodly amount of time (say a month) no-one is checking your link?

Also, my wesite is more graphical, rather than textual, in nature. Does it help to have the title of your website in text on the page as well as a graphic, from a searching point of view, or does it make no difference?

Thanks for your help.

1. No. We don't do e-mail responses. Assume nothing.
2. No difference. Important note: if you site is 100% flash, that can sometimes delay review as some editors don't review flash sites out of security concerns.

I would suggest reading the Submitting your Site section in the Help Center. It is an excellent source of information for new submitters and might answer some more questions you might have.

Thanks.

Your second question, "from a SEARCHING point of view" -- this isn't the place to ask. But the simple fact is that search engine spiders search text, and don't search other things (images, flash.) However, that's not our business or our problem, and if you want the gory details, we probably won't know them. (We don't care about the searching point of view, we're concerned about another approach to finding stuff, that doesn't have the disadvantages searching has -- but has its own disadvantages.)
