Getting Listed

Hello,

I can't tell you how many times over the years, I have submitted a site, only to go blindly on expecting it to be listed.
The domain I am working on was posted a year ago, and several times, again to today.

I won't post the domain here, as my desire is not to create hyperlinking to my site, but to be listed.

That said, the domain provides MLM Software.
I have been consulting and providing software in the industry for 15 years.
The category for this site should be...
http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Software/Business/Small_Business/MLM/

There must be a method other than blind faith, that can actually get a listing up.
I also have a separate site for Consulting which would not belong in that category.

How? How many times do I submit?

I selected 'become an editor' tonight and is says it is locked and not receiving applications.
Does that mean there is one? Who?

Please, someone communicate.

Thank you,
Scott H Leonard

You seem to have missed one important point in our policies.
Suggest a website only once to the one best category.
When time comes an editor will look at the suggestion and decide if it is listable.
That time can be after a few days or after several years. It all depends on an editor being interested in the subject of the category.
And for subjects that get lots of spam (like MLM) that interest is (for most editors) very low.

I selected 'become an editor' tonight and is says it is locked and not receiving applications.
Does that mean there is one? Who?
No it means that we do not accept new editors for this subject.
Because of its nature some subjects are not suitable for new editors.
