Getting the title change

Getting the title change.

I would like to have the title change for my wife’s web site (www.cruisingforlove.com), but there is no current active editor for the category (http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/Specialty_Travel/Singles/) that it’s listed in. I have tried a few upper level editors, but no one has responded back. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Charlie,

According to our editing guidelines, the title we are supposed to list is the title on the site. The title is correct for the site in its current state.

The correct procedure for requesting any change to an existing listing is to use the "Update URL" button at the top of the category. This submits a request which any passing editor will approve.

However, the current title of the listing is ODP guideline compliant, and I find it hard to believe that an editor would approve a change.

That having been said, to what would you like to see the title of the listing changed?

I just updated my title to 'Cruising For Love Travel Specialist' and would like to have it updated in the listing.

That is the kind of title I'd expect not to get accepted. It looks more like clumsy keyword-stuffing rather than a serious company name.

Hi Charlie,

Looking at the site again (and especially in the context of the category Specialty_Travel/Singles), if I were reviewing it I think I would still title that site Cruising For Love. That seems to be the company name and what the site is about.

Imagine changing every place on the site where you have "Cruising For Love" to "Cruising For Love Travel Specialist". You wouldn't actually do that because it would indeed be, as hutcheson puts it, clumsy.
