Google Directory and Dmoz

Does anyone know how long it will take for my site to show up in the google directory? I see it in the search results if i type in the domain.com .. it shows the catagory its supposed to be in but when I go to the catagory it is still not there...

We wish we could give you an answer, but Google updates on their own schedule and they do not coordinate with us or tell us when those updates will happen.

Is it normal for them to do it this way? Have it show up in the search if you type in the domain name but not in the catagory/rest of search yet? Real confused..

Yes I've seen many times that it's normal for them to be abnormal. Their search will point to the category where it's going to be, even though it has not arrived there yet.
