Google/DMOZ Inconsistency

Presumably google haven't updated that category in their copy of ODP since the end of March (when your site was listed) ?

Nah. That would be too sensible and simple. I prefer some sinister conspiracy theory as it's more fun to work with.

Seriously, that's what I originally figured. However, a search from Google directories says that it's there when it isn't. Maybe they have delegated DMOZ content cached while the actual directories are from local data files.

Not sure! I don't really know what google are up to I'm afraid. Maybe they are using a different (more up to date) copy of the RDF on the server that runs their google directory search, than the copy they are using for the actual directory.

If so, then that is pretty confusing of them IMHO!

Another possibility is that not all of Google's datacenters are in synch so content showing up in one cache isn;t in another's.

Google updates their directory search, the tree structure of categories, and the contents of the categories, at different times.

Sometimes you can see a category listed, but when you try to go to the category, it doesn't actually exist.
