Just applied to be an editor, got the "we have your application" email with instructions to reply to confirm, but when I tried to do this, got this message:

Subject: Re: opendir - 6847a4bfde0477aa59d2b0c2942d004e

Your Open Directory editor application could not be confirmed.
The error received was:

Can't find your authentication ticket

I assume I need to do something to fix this, but I don't know what to do. Can anyone please tell me? Thank you!

Are you sure you didn't truncate the authentication code?

Some mailers have a limit on the subject line. If that's the problem, resend and edit the subject line of your reply to contain ONLY the authentication code.

Didn't Work!

Hi,
Tried editing out of subject line everything but the registration key. Got the same message. Then, tried sending from a different email address (thought they might be more generous on the number characters you can have in the subject line) but that didn't work either.

Is it possible to tell if my application is in the queue? I tried to resubmit, but got a message that you can only have one application in at a time. But is this application "in"?

I just sent an e-mail to apply@dmoz.org with that ticket number in the subject line and the application is now in the system waiting to be reviewed.

Wow, thank you so much Donald B! Everyone's been so nice, now I'm going to be really devastated if they don't let me join the club (lol)!
