Hi Dmoz team

I submited my website <url removed> to the Dmoz directory a little over 5 months ago now. what i am trying to find out is - if my submition gets rejected do i recieve a mail from the editor explanining where i went wrong on my application, and that it has been rejected .

i ask this question because i dont yet know if my original submittion has even been looked at or rejected. and i know that i must not submit my site again and again to get listed.

Can anyone help me.

kind regards

So i must just have to keep resubmiting my site to ODP and add to the ever growing list of submitions for the editors to work through:eek: i do understand that you volenteer editors have a lot to in the ODP and forum, and thats why i thought maybey it was best to ask someone.

kind regards

1. Our submission guidelines require that you suggest your website once to the one best category.

2. Subsequent suggestions to a category overwrite any earlier ones - thus leaving the workload unchanged. The side effect is that you keep forcing your website to the bottom of the list if the editor works in date order. I don't recommend this strategy.

It can take anywhere from a few days to a few years before a website is evaluated. Please be patient.

We almost never contact anyone when a site is reviewed, not when it is listed and not when it is rejected.
From our experience we can tell that if a site is rejected (and you can already know if your site is/will be rejected by reading our guidelines) it is almost impossible to change it to make it listable.
All our reasons for rejecting a site can be traced back to one issue "lack of enough unique content". As the site owners you know the best if you have unique content. If you don't have unique content you should not wait for DMOZ to rejected your site.
