Have I applied?

I applied for a position as editor for a small norwegian category.

I filled out all the fields in the submission form in norwegian, as the form was in norwegian, and clicked on submit. Then I was sent to an english submission form... Have I applied or have I not?

Some minimal information would help us to answer. Such as the category you applied for and the name you used

There is only one application pending for World/Norsk ATM, World/Norsk/Spill/Hasardspill to be precise, and none for Regional/Europe/Norway or one of its subcat...

Did you receive an email saying that you must reply to the email in order for the application to be submitted for consideration?

If not, then your application will not have been put in for review.

What editor name did you choose, and what category was it for?

<edit>French people must type quicker then English people</edit>

I guess I have to submit again then...

I applied for World/Norsk/Samfunn/Religion_og_livssyn/Kristendom/Frittstående/

And I used the screen name X Q mano...

There's no application for that category in the queue. Please apply again - the Norwegian Christianity categories really need editors with knowledge about the subject.

The translations to Norwegian do have some holes here and there, so parts of the interface and messages you get might be in English. (Hm, that reminds me that I have a partly translated version of the standard "welcome to ODP" letter on my harddisk - I really should dig it out and finish the job )

Everything about your application should be in the language of the category you're applying to. That includes your reponses, as well as the contents, titles and descriptions of websites.

I'm still having problems...

Is there a possibility to mail the application to somebody?

If so, who should that be?

I'm afraid the only possibility to apply is through the form
Could be a browser problem, try with several. If you get time-outs, try applying when the US are sleeping...

I just sent off a couple of trial applications myself - the one for World/Norsk/Samfunn/Religion_og_livssyn/Kristendom went through fine, but the one for World/Norsk/Samfunn/Religion_og_livssyn/Kristendom/Frittstående failed just like you describe. My guess is that there's some bug connected to the Norwegian letters æ, ø and å (we had something similar some time back). I'll alert staff.

Meanwhile, I suggest you apply for Kristendom, and mention in your comments that you mean to apply for subcat Frittstående. Include a pointer to this thread.

* goes to reject that really lame applicant hildeatesting *
