Have I submitted to the right category?

Hi

I have a travel directory http://www.tessafun.com which focuses on fun and extreme fun sports and activities, and I have submitted it to http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/Specialty_Travel/Adventure_and_Sports/Guides_and_Directories/

I have a few questions?

1. Do you think I have submitted my site in the right category?
2. How long does it take to get listed?
3. There doesn't appear to be an editor in the category I submitted to - does this make any difference?

(1) Probably not, don't worry about it.
(2a) We don't know whether it will be listed at all. If that's a concern for you, you're better off going to so-called "directories" that are actually fee-for-website-promotion ad banner farms. The ODP is the OTHER kind of directory.
(2b) But assuming it is listed, we can't know when that might be -- we're volunteer site reviewers, not micro-managers of each other. If this is a problem, see #2a.
(3) Yes, it makes people ask different questions. But the vast majority of all reviews are by editors who are NOT listed in the category. If having a listed editor made a difference we could quantify, we'd not have to answer #2b like we do. Ergo, it doesn't.
