On a fresh review it was considered that it was not in compliance with our guidelines and was therefore removed. The search results will update in due course.

Possible reasons may be found at http://dmoz.org/guidelines/

I have checked and have been running the site with the guidelines,
and has now gained a sizeable userbase.
May I know how do I contact the relevant editor or
what should I do to get listed again?

Thanks and cheers,
Danz.

No, the identity of the relevant editor is confidential.

Even generally, you can't "get" listed. Anyone may suggest a site to be reviewed. Since in this case, it just was, with what result you see, I'd not recommend that. You should probably turn your promotion efforts in other directions.

I can't imagine what you meant by "running the site with the guidelines." You must not be talking about our guidelines....

Thanks for the info. It's just that my site was unavailable yesterday
for a few hours as my hosting provider was doing some server migration,
and I hope the relevant editor(s) can review it again, not thinking
my site is a dead-link and got it un-listed....

Cheers.

not in compliance with our guidelines

does not occur because a site is temporarily down. It occurs because the site is "not in compliance with our guidelines."

Read the guidelines, then compare them to your site as if it were your biggest competitors -- the reason(s) will be clear.
