Hi
I wonder if someone can help me out here. i have taken on a new client to promote. He owns <url> and i would like to try and get onestopcaradvice relisted in dmoz. I have also submitted this web site for review.
However, I have been reading through the articles in this forum, though it has got heated there, it appears that onestopcaradvice was literally just removed for no real reason to which is in your terms.
Is this correct?

Good news: If you have just taken over that client, it's not your fault.

Bad news: Sorry, but we won't list that site. The reasons should be known by the company and their previous promoter. And no, we won't comment on those reasons.

please help

Thank you windharp for a firm response.
I have asked onestopcaradvice. however he is none the wiser as to why he has been removed from your directory or indeed why he cant be relisted. Therefore is there anywhere to which i can sort this information?
If in confidence would that help?

no real reason
:)

Your client has a memory problem because he's previously been told exactly why his websites will not be listed and his response was to threaten legal action. You should ask him about it because we shan't be discussing the matter further here.

jim and all

hi jim
thank you for coming back to me on this.
I have read through all the posts for this site in question and all started out happily by my reckoning. However i would be a little frustrated after reading them as it appears fairly vague and no real attempt of help is given, however at this forum you dont give that and that to me is where he boiled up.
These appear clear to me
1) Insufficient content - this has been recified to my staifaction, of course i am going to this.but it really has changed.
2) Subission issues - "is that seperate categories or to the one?" However this should not be any reason for removal should it?
It also appears that one of the posts has been removed any idea where i can find that jim?

Have i missed anything for reasons of removal?

Please, i am not interested in going over old ground, my client bought my attention to this and i would like to resolve issue this in a peaceful mature manner.
However with the changes that have been made to the web site, i personally see no reason why this site cant be listed back into the directory when i put them up against others that are there now, but then i am not an editor.
This is one of many of my clients that i have and have had issues in the past, they have been resolved as i would also like to resolve this one.
I hope you understand jim - odp. And i thank you in advance for your help

In our guidelines we state that we refuse to list sites under certain circumstances. This is one of those cases where we refuse to list the site.

As it was said before: There won't be any further discussion on this point.

Thank you

Your help has been appriciated, no wonder onestopcaradvice became upset with responses he got from you.
i am now requesting a "subject Access Request" from you requarding onestopcaradvice and the owner which should include your reasons that you refuse to show. so all information reguarding him and the site that you have on record. I would like sent to me please.

Any information you wish must must come from AOL lawyers until the lawsuit is resolved.

Do not contact any of the volunteer editors on this issue.

Once legal action has been threatened, it becomes a matter entirely between the site owners (and their successors should the ownership change) and Time Warner. We, as volunteers, have no further role to play and will not continue to discuss it.
