Hi- I'm new here too...? about resource zone?

Hi-
I'm also a newbie, and a little lost...
I'm trying to find the "resouce zone"???
...Instructions tell you to go there
to post a question, if you're not sure
which category your site belongs in.

I submitted my site yesterday,
but am still worried I picked the wrong category.

http://www.insureallkids.org/index.html

Thanks for your help-
It's nice to meet fellow newbies.

If anyone finds the location of the "resource zone"- please post or email me from my site- Thanks-

If you look at the URL in your browser location field, you'll see these forums are the "Resource Zone".

The correct forum for checking on site submissions is:

http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showforum=22

Please read the guidelines before posting.

Just wanted to know if I picked the correct category.

QUOTE:The correct forum for checking on site submissions is:

Please read the guidelines before posting.ENDQUOTE.

I wasn't looking to check the status of my submission (it was just this week),
I wanted to make sure I submitted it to the right category.
(It would help me with other SE's I submit to also, to know where ODP thinks it belongs).

I asked the (?which category) question under "How To Submit" and was told by Hutcheson:

QUOTE: "...This is the resource zone. But we don't answer questions about categories..." ENDQUOTE.

Sorry about not knowing this is called "resource zone" in address bar...I don't usually keep the address bar visible on my computer and didn't see any "Title" or "Content" on the board pages that says "Resource Zone". (I'm new-takes time to learn how to navigate around)

Summary, I guess there is no way on ODP board's to confirm which is the correct category for my site now--I'll just have to wait and see what ODP chooses.

Sorry, I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not shure about your site. But, just try to find the right category by starting at http://dmoz.org/ and descend step by step to the category which fits best (at your opinion). In most categories are links named "see also...", so it should possible to find an approprate category.

An editor {moz} will review :monacle: this submission and :) publish it if its okay. If not  , then he would move this submission to the category he thinks its the best one. Then the submission has to wait :( for an editor in the other category...
Hope this helps.

Hello all, I love this site because you actually get to find the status of your submitted site(s) and maybe get a chance to find your editors and admins of DMOZ.

I'm new to this board too

This board still confuses me as well. If you get lost, just hit "home" and start over! That's what I do! ;) I don't post much, I just love to read the posts and check out everyone's links. This is a great place to do that because there are soooo many. It is very informational as well, if you can figure out where to look.

forkids, we won't know whether you've submitted the site to the right category until we review it. And then, if you submitted it to the wrong place, we'll move it any. So that's not a question we answer here -- it wastes our time, and it profits you nothing.
