How do I suggest a new category?

Hi,

I was recently declined by dmoz for my site:

www.medicaldeviceschool.com

the reason at the time was that I had submitted my site to the wrong category. However, there really isn't a category that best suits my site.

The new category I would like to suggest is:

"Medical Device Regulatory Research"

The categories you currently have deal with:

- company directories
- clinical research
- medical news
- medical consultants

You however do not have a site that is solely for regulatory research. That is if you want to know how you would go about:

-implementing HIPAA
- How to submit a FDA 510(k) or PMA
- How to deal with Medical Device Reporting (MDR)

....and a number of other issues that are pertinent to the field.

Having said this. If DMOZ does decide to create a category for this is there a possibility that you would re-consider my site for inclusion?

We don't reject sites because we don't have the perfect category for them nor do we reject them because they were submitted to the wrong place. If they are listable, we list them in the closest most appropriate place for them and, if and when there are enough sites on a similar topic, we create subcategories.

I would recommend you reread the last post in your site status thread.
