How do I suggest a new category?

Hi, I would like to suggest a new subcategory to: Shopping/Clothing/Casual/T-Shirts/

I believe that an 'Officially Licensed' subcategory would be very useful to users of DMOZ. The distinction between sites selling bootleg/custom t-shirts and those carrying officially licensed t-shirts is very important to consumers, yet there is no distinction on DMOZ.

This would be the category most appropriate for my sites but unfortunately it does not exist. How do I go about suggesting it?

We don't create categories on site owner request, we create them when there is a need - usually evidenced by a having a whole bunch of sites that would fit into it and agreement reached in an internal discussion thread .

Just suggest your site to the parent category and add a note to the editor in the description [like this]. You can bolster your case by suggesting your competitors' sites also .
