Hello all!
I recently took the plunge and applied to be an editor of the category which (I think) most closely represents my area of expertise.
I spent a considerable amount of time (as recommended) crafting what I thought was a well thought out, insightful application, answering each section in turn, and fully disclosing my one (and only) affiliation as an article editor of a site which is in a similar genre, but not listed in that category.
While I understand the area I am applying for is one that has the potential for abuse (a fact that I reported myself over the last few weeks), I have still failed to receive any reply as to the status of my application.
Is there any way possible to at least get a reason for rejection? As a virtual assistant, I've coem to rely on ODP for a considerable amount of my research, and have (at long last) decided as opposed to reporting the frequent cases of abuse I have found in the categories that are near and dear to my heart, I would take my participation to the "next level" and become a proactive force in the shaping and development of this wonderful resource, as opposed to simply a "abuse reporter".
If any Meta or editor could possibly give me an answer to the above, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Tiffany
