How long should I wait for a website to be posted to DMOZ

I do not know if someone submitted this company's website to DMoz before I was hired. I could not find us in the directory so I submitted the website for either the first or second time. How can I find out if the website is in the que or if it was removed because of multiple submissions? How long should I wait?

You say yourself that you suggested the website so you know it's awaiting evaluation. Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Lastly, don't wait; do whatever you'd normally do to promote the site :)

And if it was removed for multiple suggestions, what could you do then?

--Suggesting it yet again would seem counterproductive;
--Not suggesting it again could be done easily enough without knowing whether multiple suggestions had (yet) reached the point of irritating the people doing the work.

And if it hadn't been removed for multiple suggestions, what could you do then?

--Not suggesting it again could be done easily enough, without knowing whether multiple suggestions had (yet) reached the point of irritating the people doing the work;
--Suggesting it yet again would seem dangerously counterproductive.

In other words, the answer to the question you ask gives you no practical information at all (at least, so far as contributing to building the directory is concerned.)

Sorry Guys but I laughed out loud reading that elapsed times could be a few days or a few years...and I thought the cable company was bad! On my site (name withheld because it's in limbo) I write limerick poems about nonsense I see around me. I've afraid this qualifies. So, here are your limericks. Please enjoy them with good humor!

“In fourteen hundred and ninety two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue”,
The same year, to wit,
I did submit,
My site to DMOZ for review.

In the year of our Lord 402,
I submitted my site to you.
At the time it was sent,
I had used parchment.
Should I resend my request anew?

Sorry, but your suggestion was rejected in 1407. After we tried for several years to connect to your site we had to conclude that you did not follow our guidelines. We specificaly ask not to suggest sites that are under construction. :D

That explains it! I was out of the office that year with the plague ;-).

Very Funny pvggol! I figure you folks must have a good sense of humor to be answering the same questions over and over a gazillion times. Keep up the good work.
