How long?

Isn't it a little crazy for a site to wait a year or so to get a review? I wish DMOZ have a way of expediting the process, like letting someone pay for the review within a week. Wouldn't that be nice?

It would be nice for, um, commercial sites.

It would, however, be catastrophic for our users, and it would be abhorrent to the editing community that has been so carefully and painstakingly built up around an altruistic mission and practice.

The trust we've established over six years (with both editors and users) could be irrevokably annihilated in an instant -- and most assuredly would be, by any such a blatant mass betrayal of promises made publicly to both editors and users.
