Hello –

I have read threw all the suggested guide lines, rules and other thread discussions and feel I have met them all. Since I have not yet been approved but have submitted my site to the correct category with my root domain, title, short description and run a very clean site. What other suggestions would the admin of this forum have to get listed? How often should I suggest my site? I saw posts say every 2 months.. Is this correct? I have submitted my site 3 times in the last 6 months to the correct category. Is there a way to get in touch with the editor to see why I am not being approved and seeking his advice on what he wants from my site to improve it? Is it possible the editor for the category I am seeking no longer exists?

The category I am looking for is: Top/:Shopping:Food:Beverages:Homebrewing,Winemaking and Distilling

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank for your time!

Best Regards, Edward

Thanks. We always appreciate when someone taks the time to suggest a website following the DMOZ guidelines.

> What other suggestions would the admin of this forum have to get listed?
Nothing. You have done all that you can do.

> How often should I suggest my site? I saw posts say every 2 months.. Is this correct?
Not by editors. It is totaly wrong.
> I have submitted my site 3 times in the last 6 months to the correct category.
The DMOZ guidelines clearly state "suggest a website only ONCE to the ONE best category"
If a site is suggested more than once at best it could delay the time between first suggestion and review and at worst you could be marked as a spammer wihcih would result in a ban for you and all your websites. But don't worry, marking people as spammer is not something we do easely. 3 times is not enough to become a spammer but there is also no need for any further suggestions.

> Is there a way to get in touch with the editor to see why I am not being approved
No. There are 2 options. The site is either not listable (the DMOZ guidelines describe which sites we will not list) or it is still waiting review.
> and seeking his advice on what he wants from my site to improve it?
If the website needs improving than you are the only one who can know what and how to do. A website is build by its owner for the visitors he wants to reach. A website should never be build for a search engine or directory like DMOZ. Websites that are build with that intend are exactly the ones we do not want to list.

> Is it possible the editor for the category I am seeking no longer exists?
Each category in DMOZ can be maintained by several 100 editors. But "can" is not the same as "must" or "will".
We do not know which editor will look at the suggestion and neither do we knwo when that will happen. It could happen in a few days or it could be after severel years from now.
